Maybe I'm the only one who can pick up on this subtle hint...

his next guide will be for black and white.

LOL! Nahhh....I've played it a bit, but....sheesh....I dunno...talk about some interface issues! UGH!

In truth, the lighting in this room leaves me looking a rather sickly shade of yellow with the color filter on....I fiddled with it a while, and came to the conclusion that a black and white photo was easier than mucking about in the edit options...

          Vel (Chris),

You're a solid looking dude. I'd imagined younger looking, less nerdly, but I'm proud that you look the part (or lack thereof!) Welcome to the no-hair-line-programmers-club for geeks. The only thing we might Rogaine is our imagined alien friends. Congrats yet again on the guide. I'm a very very critical reader (though I don't give a hoot how I write), and I've often reread your guide and thought "Damn, there just isn't any improving that section."

So who doesn't have a digital camera besides Smack?

Keep up the good work, and get that jump on CIV III so you can make some dollars on the Guide for CIV III.

LOL! Thank you sir! And hey! I DO have a hairline....it's just....you know....reeeeeeeaaaaly far back!

Nerdy?! Me? LOL....okay, I'll grant you that...but at 6'6" and with a shoulder span that almost doesn't clear a doorframe, I hide it well!

::saluting:: and yes sir! Count me tirelessly toiling where the Civ III guide is concerned! I'm finding that I can hardly wait to get my hands on that game (and for more reasons than just playing it!)

As to the guide....wow. I'm still in shock that it's finally reached the stage it has! As I re-read it time and again, I find little nitpick things that I missed before, but I suspect that will be an on-going thing....shoulda moved this here, put that there, a misplaced word once in a while.....little odds and ends that make me cringe to think I missed, but in all, she's a solid ship, built on the solid foundation of all the truly EXCELLENT debates we've had here. You had a hand in helping see to it that those sections came out as they are now.

Without you guys, the guide would have been a shadow of what it is now.... I can't thank all of you enough!

And, my apologies for scaring you all with those pictures!

Oh, I'm not scared... at least you don't look like a mindworm...

But me, everytime in the morning when I look myself in the mirror I'm pretty sure that I'm an Isle of the Deep...
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

                I. My "equipment" is stone-age at best.

Vel, you look strikingly like some fellow I saw in TV.
I doubt he was an actor, more like an innocent civilian picked up for interviewing. Or a Finnish celebrity? (!)

Hey, you sound like you would deliberately hide such a wonderful fact
Maybe you have a lost twin brother. I'll mention it sometime if I'll remember who you look like. Maybe a politician.
