  • Newbie like question....

Ah, finally, after about a year and a half I get Alien Crossfire. However, I was slightly disappopinted when I saw no actual way to get all of the original and all of the new factions on the same map - is this possible? And is there any way to get a map size that is bigger than the huge option?

Oh, sorry, one more question; has anyone figured out just how many glyphs you can get to go on your monument, and just how bog you can make it?

No to the all 14 factions question. You are stuck with seven factions. However it is fun to mix the SMAC and SMACX factions. You can do this either by playing random factions (click on the space scene on the far top right of the "pick your faction screen") or by using the dropdown menu beside each faction to manually determine all seven factions.

Why anybody would want to play on bigger than huge is beyond me, but go to custom maps. I think I recall that the very biggest maps won't wrap horizontally.

I guess I don't follow the monument screen too much. Although I did like the city view screen in Civ. So I can't tell you anything about that.
