  • Morale and Re-homing

Following the advice to build punishment spheres and trained troops while running FM, i build plenty of trained choper in one city, upgrade and re-homed them in the city with PS, only to have the morale drop.

At first I thought it was because I upgraded a trained unit. But even if I build the unit straight, without building trained shells first, and re-homed it to Alcatraz(the punishment base ), the morale still drops one level. This is really bad, since I run FM/Wealth, and morale's a big issue, especially if you haven't got r-laser, and worm rapes are occurring(spelling?) every turn.

Is this a bug, or is it some game mechanics I don't know about yet?

It's probably just because you have a children's creche in the one city, but not in the one with the punishment sphere. It shouldn't matter once you move the unit out into the field.

It is the negative morale modifier from wealth, that is doing you in. To avoid it, choose another SE setting the turn before you rehome your units.

Thanks for the prod, MoSe. Mastor has moved. AC will hopefully follow tonight.

Maybe you should try this..... first build them without the morale upgrade, re-home them to PS city and THEN upgrade.

By the way... don't you usually call yourself ItsLikeThat?

              knowhow2,

I tried that, it didn't work. Instead the morale went down after re-homing, and went down even further after upgrade. That sucks even more

Yeah, but I like my own name better. It's like that. It's just the way it is.

Has anyone tried this? Run Power for one or more turns to get the morale boost on non elite units, and while the morale boost is in effect, rehome them? If what I read on this thread is correct, the morale boost should then remain when you return to Knowledge or Wealth.
