  • The Social Engineering Screen

I started another game to try and exterminate those annoying aliens. Damned aliens. I hate them!!!

Well anyway, I opened the social engineering screen, and started playing around with the settings, though i haven't got any other politics or economic system besides frontier and simple.

I noticed that changing a bit of the econ and labs and psyche, I could actually speed up labs, even though it says there in red " -40% Labs"

Actually, I haven't a clue how to use this tool.

So how do I use it?? What are those scary red numbers -- "-60% Econ, -20% Labs"?

Your Mama! You suck man, but your Mama's sweet! You suck, but your Mama, ohhh... Uh-huh, your Mama! Far out man, you do suck, but not as good as your Mama! So what's it gonna be? Spit or swallow, sissy boy?" - Superfly, joecartoon

The numbers in red represent energy that is wasted to inefficiency. As soon as you have a difference over 10% between Labs and Econ, some energy gets lost.

To improve that, you can increase your efficiency rating (running Demo, Green, etc). Higher Eff translates to reduced percentages of loss.

When you reach +4 EFF (Paradigm Economy), you are allowed to distribute energy as you see fit, without waste.
