multiplayer via tcp/ip

hi,
i tried to play via the internet, but it always says no game was found. it works in lan though. i use a router so maybe thats the problem?

IIRC I once saw a post stating that IP games didn't work until the game was fully patched. I could be wrong though, it was a long time ago.
