Difference between Labs doubled/ Research Doubled

The Supercollider doubles Research output and the Theory of Everything doubles Lab Output. What is the difference between these outputs?

There is no difference - both SP's do exactly the same - double the science production from that base.

Put them both in the same base, and your lab points (research output) quadruples. If you have the Network backbone at that base too, you have a serious Science City (assuming, of course, you also have the base facilities such as Network Nodes, research hospitals, fusion labs, etc etc)

ToE usually comes later (depending on your research line), and is 1/3rd more expensive to build, but apart from that, they do the same thing - double whatever lab output you have at that base.
