the main strategy is to not build SPs and especialy do not try to get
any certain project
it's better to give money into other things, because most SPs does
not give such big advantage that is worth of wasting money
especaily on MP, if you see you could get the project you even set 80-
100% to econ but you dont have to get that project, so it's just
wasting
you have to thing that SPs are just bonuses
building project almost all depends on the faction you are playing
i will name only important projects, others are really just bonuses
ascetic virutes:
that's not important but i found interesting to build it with hive
(police +3 = double effect) or with planet cult (1 extra mil. unit,
but worms do double police)
clinic immortality:
you just have to take care to someone else do not have enough votes
for victory
cloning vats:
important only for aki-zeta , other's faction have lot of nutrients
or can run planned or golden age
cloudbase academy:
not so important, but you have to be good enough to build aerospace
c. yourself
dream twister:
for green, later in game surely important
empath guild:
it's only important when you cant get commlinks (very rare) or for
votes (victory)
human genome:
this project is vasting, i think it's only good for peackeepers
better than to pay money for this buy recreation commons in each base
merchant exchange:
it's only good for strategy with crawlers
network backbone, supercolider, theory of everything:
only if you play special strategy and research boosting 1-2 bases
neural amp, xenoempathy dome:
these projects are a must for green factions
pholus mutagen:
this is not a must but very good for green
planetary energy grid:
this is a must for morgan
planetary transit system:
this is good for deidre or if you have LOT of bases for reducing
drones
space elevator:
you have to take care of drops, but you will see if it does matter or
not
virtual world:
very important for university, but for others it's usualywasting
weather paradigm:
only for hardcore teraforming (you dont need it for building forests)
so i will name some strategies
morgan: you dont have to build a lot cities, just 12 on standard map
is good enough, go to tree farms and then build planetary energy grid
and when these cities expand, you can build more of them; it's good
to spend money to fewer cities and not wasting on new ones (to limit
drones)
you build: 1 SP
deidre,planet cult: you have to start building xeno project quite
early, because you will not have money to buy it, after researching
centauri meditation you have to go after tree farms and then for
neural amp
you build: 2 SPs
deidre: you do not expect to make war, so you go after PTS first -
for deidre it's great because the cities will not fall down from 3
(becuase you have enough nutrients on fungus) and then it's up to you
(but xeno and neural amp is strongly recommended)
you build: 1-3 SP
university: virutal world is a must, then it's wise to go for
supercolider and boost 1 city, even building merchant exchange and
crawlers in that city is very good, then go for tree farms and then
theory of everything to make another boost
you build: 1-4 projects
pirates:
you need planetary energy grid, because with low minerals you must
buy a lot, it's nice to get ascetic virutes because you will have
place to have lot of energy from water
you build: 1-2 projects

build human genome, you can big bases without special facilities

as i said it's interesting to get ascetic virutes and +3 police, but
