I once tried to test out whether or not negative energy could be traded in a SMACv4 PBEM where I was playing two different factions - I offered negative ec's to my alter ego and accepted it, but nothing seemed to change hands.
OTOH, in another (SMAX) PBEM an experienced player offered me the negative ec's along with a truce, preaccepted; I didn't notice the minus sign, but didn't accept as I was thinking that he hadn't really meant to accept it in advance. When I said something about it to him, he said that it was a trap, so I guess he thought it would go through if I had accepted.Comment

Have anyone actually managed to fool anyone with this "entrapment" and does it really work against other faction being the active part insread of the passive part as the case with morgan?It's close to midnight and something evil's is lurking in the dark.Comment
