I recently went back to playing AC for the first time in a while. It's the first time I've played it on my new computer (1.7Ghz) and everything works fine except between turns, the AI units & game messages move too fast! There is an option to make the units move faster in the game but I do not have these checked (I should try it just to see the blur!). Does anyone know if there is a way to slow down to normal speed?

I run on a 1.8 system, and have everything checked off (e.g don't move pieces quickly, no fast battle resolution - I also have checked all the "stop for" options. That seems to slow the speed down a bit.
Sometimes, though, in PBEM/s I get a gameturn where others have tweaked those settings and it's "whoa, man, what happened there!!"
