I have the idea the AI always askes for 50 energy credits for your opponent's map whether I have like 100 credits or 5000. They even offer the map after the first orbital farm is launched.

A more subtle logic flaw is an ally trying to get you to pay for another faction's map, when you know that you will be given the information for free (allies always trade maps at the end of communications).
