Formers
As said above,formers are like kleenex,who cares if you lose a few each turn,you should have be able to pump one out in a turn. id rather they take out my formers then my troops that are onroute or the like. Only problem is in SP when you run into a Yang Air Horde(tm) of some 50 odd bombers/interceptors,losing 10-20 formers per turn adds up very very quickly.
