Is there a time limit in SMAC/SMAX? Does the game just end at a certain year?

The manual is wrong. It says game over at 2500 for Talent or lower levels, 2400 for Librarian or above. You actually get a century more for all levels.
You should be able to comfortably win before then, unless you try something silly like huge world, tech stag, win by conquest only.Comment
