  • Early Atrocity Bug?

    I was playing as Yang and met Morgan within the first 10 years or so and he immediately claimed I commited atrocities and declared Vendetta. I shortly thereafter met Roze. Did Roze frame me or is this a bug? I had been playing another game when I started this one - did some of the variables not get reset? Or does Yang's notoriety precede him?

    I have played lots of games and I have never seen this. I occasionally see an AI faction declare war on me as soon as contact is made, usually with no good reason.

    But it is hard to commit an atrocity in the first ten years. Nobody is rioting yet, so no nerve stapling. And you don't have the tech to be able to do a lot of other atrocities. So I don't doubt that something very unusual has happened in your game.

    Don't worry about it. You will probably never see it again.

      yang might remember your capitalistic atrocities from a previous game...
      sometimes the ai gives me the creeps...

      btw, does a submissive pact-brother/sister ever conspirate against you?
      in a test game of my star trek conversion (me as the federation) the military beaten and submissive (pact) romulans started a covered action of their tal shiar agents against my old ferengi pact-brother zek. and the romulans managed it to direct the suspicions toward me. so the ferengis declared war against me. was it a late revenge for my crusade against the romulans?

        Covered -> covert?

        Submissives will occasionally do nasty things. Keep your rep Noble and that sort of stuff will be minimized. Also keep your submissive factions from going to war with other pactmates or treated factions.

          One time I had something similar happen. I got the message, "I have Foreman Domai of the Drones on Channel 3. Shall I put him through?" Then Domai came on screen and shouted at me, "You shall bleed for this, Svensgaard! I will make you pay for each and every one of your atrocities!" I didn't even know where he lived.
          Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.

            Mr. P. I have had similar things happen but never with no warning. I have always gotten that "probe team has framed you" message.

              I think that the Morgans mentioning "the attrocities against humanity" or something like that refers propably to the Police State diplomacy (if you had changed your SE-settings that is). I often play as yang and i get those messages all the time.

              WTF??? Communism isn't attrocity. Communism is like the Prohibtion; a good idea that doesn't work.
              I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.
