Fungus in base square?

Just wondering... Has anyone ever founded a base adjacent to a fungal tower - and then had fungus grow into the base square? I've never seen it, but with this game, you never know... (Might be kind of cool, esp if your base was hidden! ) Anyone?

I have often seen fungal payload missles put fungas in base squares. I does not change the base production any, but I have not it what happens if it were to infugate a base built on a bonus tile.

i have a base on a rocky tile. i popped a pod and it caused an earthquake, and voila! the base tile is now rocky
