MP PBEM game

I'm a civ2 vet, but new to AC MP. I'd like to start a PBEM game, say 4 players. I'd like to play university. Details can be arranged if anyone is interested.

DrS: maybe if you'd be more specific about what sort of game you're suggesting, you might be able to entice some jaded vets to join - is it to be 4 humans only, or plus 3 AI? If the latter, how beefed up is the AI to be - and is the concept 2 teams of 2 humans vying for control, or 4 individuals (and is the 3 faction AI a third team - the scenario editor in the hands of a decent CMN can make that pretty strong)

Presumably you are talking SMAC and not SMAX (your "AC" reference)

What size map, aridity, difficulty level, etc? (eg, Chiron Winter over at ACOL drew 14 players due to it's implied challenge - arid world, sparse vegetation, no techs popped from seed pods, etc)

If you get takers, and need a CMN, I'll be happy to oblige

I did also post in the MP forum when I realised there was one! I'm new btw. Sorry if posting here annoyed anyone. I didn't post details because I thought anyone interested would post to say so, and we could get a dialogue going about game parameters. I am relatively new to AC, and don't know what parameters people like. Cheers for the CMN offer googlie, I'll take you up on that if I get any players. Maybe I'll think of some details and post again (in the MP forum) in a couple of days.

Googlie's suggestions are good ones..many players look for particular kinds of games to play, so adding in details, or the fact that you're open to suggestions helps. I've been having an email dialogue with Dan Q about setting up an MP sign-up forum for Smac by the way..that will also help when (if) it happens.
