I was just wondering if in a SMAX PBEM game a human player was defeated, would it be possible for others to 'rescue' him by a probe operation?

If so, would the player be able to play or would the faction revert to AI?

As far as I recall, it was deemed an non-issue as the human player needs to self destruct his last base and hence cannot be rescued.

As for whether it is possible or not (assuming no self destruct) for a human to resume play my hunch would be the AI resumes play. However, it'll have to be tested to find out for sure.
