Yes, I haven't noticed any heavy transports used by AI. So it's mainly for human players. In multiplayer it is nice addition. AI also never builds land transports probably. I naver declared land heavy transport in default units, so I cannot say anything about that possibility.

Lots (mostly tech tree, terraforming, units, project costs): details here.

Just the opposite . Right now, I'm using 4/3 . Sometimes I crank it up to 5/3 . One of these days I'm going to see what 2/1 does !

From the first major pop, map just kept sinking. by the time I transcended, half of the map was gone.

Hey that sounds like it might make a cool challenge. Turn up the gobal warming and don't make any pressure domes. You have to keep raising the terrain and replacing bases further up the mountain....it's a race against the flood.

Or you can disable the pressure domes as well...

But it 'only' kills half your bases population when submersed.
Actually, a good thing to check. Disable pressure domes, scatter bases over a map and let the sealevel rise. Wonder if the submersed bases would survive if not automatically a dome can be made.

This is kinda irritating. You would figure if the sea swallows up your city it would destroy the city regardless of size. All that work my eco-terrorists put into sinking enemy cities for nothing

Killing over half of a base's population and screwing up its terraforming is "nothing"? It's also now vulnerable to direct sea assault and all the units in the city are pinned until the player makes a transport there. Likewise, bringing reinforcements is difficult.

Try planet buster-ing every single enemy city in the same year.

not if they run out of room. I play on standard maps.

I was thinking about doing this. I didn't have enough, and I was still using fusion PB's.

I was able to take out nearly every city of one faction in the same turn.

One of these days though, I'm going to nuke the entire world at once.

the thing about building a lot of nukes is, I think the ai knows you are going to use them. They launched a pre-emptive at me first.

I did not have the tech to build orbital defense pods. For some reason I now cannot remember what tech it was. Well I was on blind research anyways.
