  • Terrain Combat Modifiers

    In another thread, I asked: In the #RULES section of alpha.txt, does every line really work? I would like to put some modifiers in the four Combat % lines that are defaulted to zero

    <list>
    attacking along road
    attacking from higher elevation
    attacking from lower elevation (penalty)
    defend vs mobile in rough
    </list>

    There was one reply which assumed yes, but wasn't sure, so I put 12 in each spot and it turns out it is yes. Each of them is included in the calculation when they apply. Problem is, it puts too much info in that little window where you see the combat percentages and you can't see the bottom line.
    I am on a mission to see how much coffee it takes to actually achieve time travel.

    Note that the "attacking from lower elevation (penalty)" is actually a bonus for the defender, not the penalty for the attacker.
