  • Help - my fraction just disappeared

It would be really cool if you could help me with this.
I was playing a SP SMAX game on Librarian. My power was way stronger than that of all the left fractions combined.

Suddenly at the beginning of a new turn, all my units and bases vanished and all I had left were 3 colony pods and a few units on a small remote island.

What happened? And can I prevent it?
    Thx

Progenitors abducted you ! call Yang on 999 to sort em out !

Nah the reason is that one AI will have killed another and sometimes a bug occurs in that the computer thinks its YOU thats actually been defeated.
The way around is to load the previous turn, press alt+k to activate scen editor and look around for which AI is about to die and just delete him.
Then when the turn is played nobody will actually die and thus you should be safe to continue global domination.
Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.

switch on the grid and you can see the red outlines of your former colonies - for all the good it will do you!

yes, I've seen this bug several times, both my own faction and others I'm playing.

afaik, there is no solution, except going back to the latest autosaved file.
