The poll was 3:1 in favour of handing over control of the units.

Unfortunatly, I couldn't. Aparently you can't transfer control of a unit to a faction you're in a vendetta state with, so it wasn't an option. There was no terraforming destroyed though.

Oh, well I guess it makes sense to not allow gifting units to Vendetta'd enemies. Thanks a lot for the effort though

still they should have that option as an offer of appeasement. Like gifting some units in exchange for truce

          We could though.

First nerve staple everyone (we're under sunspots anyway) and then switch to free market for ten years.

            Cool.

But may I suggest that we wait until after we have dealt with the Gaians? And by "dealt with" I mean "exterminated".

AFAIK nerve stapling (unlike nerve gas apparently) doesn't have ecological effects.

Actually it does, if you do enough of it. But you need to do a whole lot to get negative effects (Hundreds IIRC).

Having said that, planet doesn't get annoyed by atrocities during sunspots at all. Gas/staple/bust away

I have another question for the former Morganites: What was your reaction when the Angels self-destructed? Do you know the Angel rationale for doing it? I can tell you that we certainly weren't expecting for it, and we certainly weren't planning an invasion which would warrant such a wild kamikaze action. We were just trying to infiltrate.

Weird, I seem to remember we wanted to break stuff, similar to the first anti-Morgan raid. No full-fledged invasion, but definately some obliteration was planned.

We only knew it happened because the spartans posted about it on the public forum. The angels nor the gaians told us anything. We didn't really inquire about it either though, the diplo relations had gone downhill very fast the last 10 turns. Everyone was minding their own business, and frankly, we were "happy" you had turned attention to them instead of us.

I guess the gaian-angel bond will be a lot stronger now you destroyed Morgan though .

PJay, we have to build up our cooperation in Spartan lands. Right now, it is a fairly lenghty (and costly) process to get a new product going. These spartanic people somehow fail to see the value of luxury, they prefer standardized tin food and only care for weaponry, which is unfortunately prohibited to be manufactured by free market enterprises.

Furthermore, the "fees" ( ) for business contracts with state organizations are quite high (especially those with Modo and Zeiter involved), putting a large drain on profits. We need to refine our sales strategies and work together in establishing a mercantile culture in these puritan bases...

Also, they dared to rename the bases of Terrapeso, ruining decades of marketing campaigns and tax return documents... I mean, we paid millions of ECs in taxes to Micha Archive, but now that we´re expecting a decent return, the base is non-existant. Instead our company headquarters now find themselves in the heart of Fort Micha, with a military training camp surrounding the MichaSystemsIntegrated Corporate Kindergarten... Of course none of the new Spartan officials knows anything concerning the whereabouts of our tax money...

This is almost as bad as our failed experiment to open a sunglasses industry in Hiverian lands... (Of course, who could have known that those dreaded Hivers live underground! )

Indeed, I believe we did have a rather fail-proof plan to obliterate about 3 bases that ensuing turn, including the one with the Virtual World in it (their headquarters, I think). I was expecting them to obliterate a few bases near their west coast, but certainly not as many as they did.

Yeah! The plan was either to capture and hold, or to destroy, the base with the Virtual World (and the Cyborg Factory) and it would have ensured that we'll get the HSA instead of them.

After that, if we captured and hold, they would have been in disarray and we could have started a full-fledged invasion. (At least, that was the plan art the time).
