Yup, looks like that's the case. Should I prod the Angels to remind them why co-operation with the Angels is baaaaad, or should we just keep our hands off of it and hope that the Angels' natural tendency to dislike Morgan and see the strategic folly helping him out would be?

I'm a little afraid that Morgan wuill get int Int from the Angels and use the "we're in vendetta" excuse to snag the CDF (they get the turn before the A's then pass it to us, so if we both instabuilt it, they'd get it)

But if we push too hard we might just drive them into each others' arms.

At least the A's have not yet treatied with them (altho they just met last turn, so it'd still be in the diplo box)

You meant "Morgan", right?

Perhaps tell the Angels something like this:
" We have noticed you have met the Corporation. Care is advised in dealings with them. They often just 'happen' to stall forget payments. "

Should I yank the Morganite chain and tell them that if they try to build the CDF, they can consider all peace negoations so far nulled and voided and that the price for further peace will be higher? Or would the CDF give them such a strong position that they wouldn't mind?

But, then, should I mention also to the Angels that if the Morganites get the CDF, everyone else can kiss victory goodbye?

I have no idea. When did we strike that deal? I don't think we had such a clause. Not sure.

That would make more sense - and probably be much more compelling for the Angels to oblige to as well.

I would also like to point out that, since you seem to be in talks with our vendetta foe the Morgan Industries, we would like to undercut any trade you might consider with the Morganites; realizing that competition is in your best interests, and the Morganites not receiving any aid from you is in our best interests, although we are discussing peace with the Morganites at this moment.

Btw, after a bit of thought, perhaps another suggestion to make to the Angels: don't sell the Gaian commlink frequency to the Morganites! As argument we could say that:
1) it reduces the risk that Morgan can call the planetary council and become governor, an ambition that the Corporation has admitted to us having. No doubt you see it's in everyone's advantage that a human doesn't get infiltration on everyone else.
2) seeing the not so stellar relations between Sparta and the Gaian Union, by not selling their commlink you can keep a de facto monopoly on lucrative trades with the Gaians.

We recently significantly increased our research output. Presently the estimated time of research completion is around 2170 (if i remember correctly), though depending on circumstances it will probably be further shortened. My guess is around 2166-2167.

AFAIK the Gaians haven't mentioned anything about a trade anymore, correct?

I have received no word from the Gaians. I was hoping that the silence meant that they were busy settling things with the Angels, but that does not appear to be the case. I should probably PM Chaos and Illuminatus and query as to what's going on.
