  • Morgan Industries DECLARES WAR!

    Kassiopeia:
I believe we're required to inform you that we probed your ship and had you declare vendetta against us. A similar message is going to other senior Junta members.
    -Yoda
    My (perhaps too polite) response:

Your expedition in informing us is appreciated, even if it is demonstrated under such unfortunate circumstances.
They got the initiative, it appears.

I suppose we must wrap up the Arcadian operation ASAP and move on to whollop the hell out of them.

This move surprises me though - our current intel, unless I'm mistaken, does not show them in any ready position to launch an attack on our soil. Have they managed to hide something, or what is it they are trying to gain?

Oh, and I hereby declare the gluttoneus traitors onboard the Mercury Enemies of the Federation, who must be executed on sight. Was Lt. Commander Modo still on the ship? What is his status? (I sense a great article in the works. 'Heroic Commander Miraculously Saved!')
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

Oh, and I can now simul-play the turn with Googlie, I have the time and opportunity (in response to Maniac's PM).

I do wonder, do we have a mole in our ranks? Although I think it was disadvantegous for Morgan to DOV us first - it only makes them look like the aggressors, which plays into our hand quite, err, handily.

      Exterminate them all!

How do you think about meeting with Googlie in the chatroom for a turnchat? (See PM I sent you)

PS: It's the SCC Hunter under command of Primus Pilus that was probed away.

        Oh, it was the Hunter.

We haven't heard of Captan Pilus for a while, either.

I'll be in the chatroom momentarily.

I think that Monweypenny must have placed some sort of mind-controlling device on board before we evicted him

Yeah, me thinks Mr. Moneypenny corrupted the minds of our soldiers while he was observer on the SCC Hunter.

I see we're all crossposting btw. Now also a thread of Googlie on the same subject.

              I was here first, damnit.

Such serendipity that the three of us are all online the very moment they transmit us the PM of their little declaration. Certainly the signs are good for the coming years of war.

Hmm, for some reason I can't join the chatroom on my laptop. I'll have to start up the desktop. Hopefully it'll work there.

You have been found in violation of the Modo Doctrine. Your trespassing foil has been dealt with accordingly. Payments have been suspended due to the state of Vendetta you have forced upon us. If you wish for payments to resume, please negotiate a criminal settlement with any Morgan diplomat in the Embassy
                    (From Googlie's war thread)

So how shall we destroy their "argument"? "You had an observer onboard and we were both in joint control, you are lunatics"? "You stole the doctrine from us anyway, damn thieves"?

"You never acknowledged the Modo Doctrine in the first place, so it's kind of silly to use that as argument to mind control our ship. The SCC Hunter was sent into that area exactly with the goal to negotiate a mutual ratification of the Doctrine."

Oh yeah, this is the page I get when I try to get on the chatroom:

Ugh. It's probably the firewall, but I have no idea what to do about it. Turn it completely off maybe?

The propaganda machine in my head is already spinning. I've already figured out the perfect historical allegory to exploit:
