This is my first PBEM, so I obviously have a learning curve with the diplomatic aspects. I try to view the forum everyday, and post my views, but the nature of my work demands stupid hrs and frequent travel. Ergo, I contribute as much as my time allows.

Am I so out of step with the rest of the Junta?

I generally trust the Junta High Command and believe in the decision process. I freely offer my strategic and tactical recommendations. So, Googlie, Zeiter, Krys, Snod, Kass, Maniac, etal you have my support. My strengths to this game are my combat packages. Eventually, time permitting, I will enter the diplomatic arena.

Not really. I'm just worried that the Morgan-Spartan machine would in turn render the game boring, because with the power it could have, the game could be pretty much over for the Angels and Gaians, and they might have little motivation to play a game they have little chance to win. I myself am not here to win, really, mostly because I do not style myself a "winner". In games I often enjoy losing if I lose in a way that I can tell people stories about (Last ditch defences, great gambits, etc.). So I suppose trading "down" technologies to the others wouldn't be a problem for me in terms of personal opinion, but of course I've been always careful not to suggest too disadvantegous deals because of what the others in the Junta might think.
I would love an allienace with the morganites, if we could swing it.

as an add on to that, I would like to remain "in character" and be a faction about war. Although defense wouldn't be bad. But I would like to wager several small wars. Even a huge world war would be cool. But that doesn't mean a close ally is out of the question. We need someone to help us out in research. If not, we will have to probe it out of everyone. I'm not a fan of being a builder faction.
