  • Which Camp are you in (is the Junta splintering?)

If you have been following the role-playing vis-a-vis Snoddasmannen and the Gaians, you'll see that we are positioning the Junta as being rather split on the issue of whether to become "best friends" with the Gaians, or with Morgan (or maybe The Hive ....... ) or perhaps adopt a totally isolationist policy.

For fun, we're suggesting that there are indeed "camps" within the Junta -

The Gaian wing (led by Lt Colonel Maniac, and seconded by Captain Zeiter

The Morgan wing, led by Major Googlie (about to be promoted to Lt Colonel) and seconded by Lieutenant Snoddasmannen (about to be re-instated as Captain)

The isolationists, led by Captain Primus Pilus (who, as the Captain of the SCC Hunter has to suffer the indignity of continuing his exploration cruise with a Morgan observer on board !!!)

Now these labels are actually going to be meaningless, but it'll be fun (so that we can roleplay shifting alliegences, etc etc)

So vote - and post in the thread - who you're aligning with (and remember, you can change as often as you like)
    5
    The Gaians
    40.00%
    2
    Morgan
    40.00%
    2
    The Isolationists
    20.00%
    1
    The Hive
    0.00%
    0

    The poll is expired.

And to kick it off, I'm obviously in the Morgan camp ( )

      Excellent initiative Googlie

In light of recent Morgan talks, particularly finding that the they seem to be negatively biased against the Gaians/Angels, I have switched from being officially pro-Hive to pro-Morgan. Beneath my pink and fluffy exterior, I am of course holding a strong anti-Gaian position.

I will be one of the few Isolationists, who are not an organised faction like the others, but just a group of people who are trying to balance between the other three and to maintain a careful foreign policy, and to keep Sparta from committing too much to the other factions.

(So did you vote to place yourself in the Gaian camp to "balance' a vote in the Morgan camp?)

            No, I haven't voted yet.

              Aha - great !!

A secret Gaian sympathizer within the Junta. An officer, perhaps fearful of repercussions if he declares too overtly for his camp of preference, votes incognito.

              You gotta love those Spartans

                To re-iterate:

we are not voting here on anything of substance - it's not as though we are going to shape our foreign policy based on a vote - concensus is still our way for the time being

This is merely for role-playing purposes, so that we can legitimately say to the Morganites - or Gaians - "the other camp is gaining followers, etc etc"

After we meet the Angels we can repoll if there is anyone that would like to be considered - for role-playing purposes - to be in an "Angels' camp"

Hmm, so what is the composition of the Junta (active players) at the moment? (Note, again, these are the "roles" we are dealing out for roleplaying purposes)

                  Lt. Colonel Maniac (Gaian)
                  Lt. Colonel Googlie (Morganite)
                  Major Kassiopeia (Isolationist)
                  Captain Zeiter (Gaian)
                  "Lieutenant" Snoddasmannen (Morganite)

It would appear that Captain Krysia will become the one to strike or tilt the balance.
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

Sorry, I've had a headache the last two days.

I've only been really skimming the posts, and posting short posts here and there.

I'll be here later when I'm off work...

                        *laugh*

(Just saw this. I clicked on the wrong thread by mistake.)

Actually no. But having a two day headache, at the time, incapacitated my ability to think deeply...
