Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Here's the trick (game strategy) I use in serious multi-player PBEM's...
Get to be the largest sized faction in the game.
Not the strongest (military power).
Not the most technologically advanced.
Not the wealthiest (energy credits).
Although, I don't dispute for one second, that any of the other three can, and are vital at certain points; they are not what can virtually gaurantee you a win.
Getting there can be done several ways. And it does entail the use of; technology, energy, military, covert operations, and diplomacy (<- this one is the second most important method to use). But my MAIN FOCUS is always, always, always striving to become a gigantic empire.
Once your so big (many bases and population), you can swing your faction in any direction you deem most appropriate. Meaning; constructing infrastructure, military production, energy (both credits and allocating it), labs output, et al.
Yeah, I know what your thinking. A big empire can fall to a smaller technoligically superiore one which has better quality military.
Wrong!
Not if played properly. Sure, the smaller can maybe chip away and take a few bases, but then once the slumbering giant has been awaken - your gonna be a morcel for its appetite. Maybe not tommorrow - but your days are numbered.
What if the rest of the factions gang up on you?
If you've played your cards correctly, it's too late. You just stomp on them one at a time. Or two at a time if your really big. Or all at once if your gigantic. Heck - just hold them off and transcende even (!).
To quote someone I consider as an excellent player, buster (who I've played with and against):
"As far as I am concerned nothing beats being really big except maybe being enormous. "
As for myself; I've never lost a game using this general approach.
Krysia's Krusader
This is what it means to be a Spartan. It's not the killing or the suffering that matters. It's the purity of focus, without fear of death or pain.
That would mean that she isn't probably exactly confident with her gaming abilities - while this does sound a bit underhanded, that could be a useful advantage.
And that is what makes her as an excellent target for our sharp talkers then!
It is not underhanded. It is called diplomatic maneouvering to our advantage. Get in the Spartan mindset.
On a side note: I don't see JDM in their player list...?
Edit: As for the other two factions, I don't really recognize anybody, other than about 5 people. Which probably means that the rest don't know me either. (this is a good thing )
If we are going to start negotiating - let's pick a faction that we can easily discern as trustworthy and honorable.
Cause if they ain't, we may just as well blow them off the map. I like playing around, having intrigue, et al. But I hate dealing with people of low integrity, or who will reneg on a deal.
The computer and/or Apolyton just ate my whole thesis on what kind of strategy we should persue...
I've been typing for hours! HOURS I TELL YOU!! HOURS UPON HOURS!!!
I can't believe this... I DON"T WANT TO BELIVE THIS!
It was brilliant. Beyond imigination! I had combined many of the ideas in the above posts into one BRILLIANT MASTER PLAN FOR WORLD DOMINATION!!!AND NOW IT"S GONE!!!!DISAPEARED INTO OBLIVION!!!!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate computers. HATE! HATE! HATE! HATE! HATE! THEM!!!
SOMEONE HAS TO LOCK ME UP BEFORE I DO SOMETHING DRASTIC!!!!!!

That sounds a bit like a modern age version of Fermat's theorem. "I have a brilliant proof of this but this paper is too small for it." "I had written up a brilliant strategem for the game but the computer crashed." Surely you can reproduce it, or at least the main points, once you calm down?

Yea. But due to recent developements with meeting the Gaians (and perhaps the Data Angels), I'm holding off to see what our status will be with them first. Cause I'll have to amend the plan...
Edit:
Yes! That's it. It wasn't me after all!
IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE DATA ANGELS...
Okay. I've read your excellent analysis on the Angel players.
Question: Are you sure that you can rely on their post count numbers? Reason being, that I am purpously not posting that much (one to date) outside our private forum. Hoping to give people the impression that I am relatively inactive. Thus, is post count an accurate way of assessing things?

How else did you think we'd have towering post counts of nearly five thousand? I hardly had 1000 when I began in the first ACDG two, three years ago. I became Emperor (3000 posts) by the end of that demogame.
