    2104 Spartans

Captain Zeiter lead R-112 Corazon Recon Vehicle drove further south downriver. Along the way CRV sighted another unity pod. The river was getter wider and wilder.

“Ocean! It is the ocean!” A soldier cried out. In front of them, blue sea waves splattered the coastlines.

          2105 Spartans

“Permission to enter, Sir!” Captain Snoddasmannen and Captain Andemagne entered the command center. “We are concerned about the Spartan’s defensive preparation Sir! We are leaving our bases unmanned and are planning to do so for long. The unattended bases will not be able to fend off Mindworms Sir!.”

Maniac was glad that the low-rank officers have not shunned away from factional planning. It was good the Spartans have not forgotten that military was their real strength. However he had to allocate the limited resources toward other things that are crucial for the faction’s healthy growth before he could concentrate on military issues. It's a gamble: instead of building scouts and having a low economic growth, they had chosen a tactic that would produce a much higher economic growth, but also an increased risk of failure.

“Your concern will not go unnoticed, captains.” Maniac replied calmly. “We have just allocated more minerals so that we could finish recruiting and training of the new rover unit. Would you like to be the Commanding officer of the Rolling Thunder Brigade, Captain Andemagnus?”

Andemagnus’s face lit up. “Sir, yes sir!”

            2106 Spartans

2106 Report: R-112 Corazon Recon Vehicle further mapped the rainy plains north of Santiago Citadel. The Chiron Knights sailed down the rocky Río Rojo River and saw an ocean unveil before their eyes. The Rolling Thunder Brigade explored the Buster Crater.

              2107 Spartans

Captain Andemagnus hesitated before he opened the unity pod. It was a little different from what he saw in his soilders’ manual. He wondered if there was some kind of mindworms hiding inside it. They’ve heard so many stories about those scary native creatures. His rover team had a long journey and was too tired to be able to run away in case he found a mindworm. However the pride of a Spartan soldier in his blood just couldn’t let him turning away from the excitement of taking a risk.

Captain Andemagnus’ jaw dropped when he finally opened the pod. The pod contained the materials to complete an entire command center.

Got to skip ahead a little faster so that I could get to the exciting point of meeting Yang.

I know, things are really cooking now. Things forward from here will be less about "we moved this former here, and there was much rejoicing" and more about diplomatic intrigue and generally more interesting stuff.
