          All good.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Time to update the officers list (above) and our web-page (if I can get my balky system to function - I loaded Norton Systemworks and now it's running at about 10% of the speed it was - and I keep getting "low virtual memory" messages [how do I increase the amount of VM?] - so I'm not sure how good tripod build will be with this snail version)

                  Googlie, you might consider

                  run "msconfig"

It's a program that can disable some of the startup programs that may have been automatically set to run on startup that you don't actually need. Try disable any programs that you obviously don't need. If you're uncertain well don't touch it I guess, although I don't think you can break your computer using msconfig (don't completely trust me on that though).

The main problem I think you're having is you're using up all your ram and it's using a swap file on your harddrive. If you can reduce your memory usage by removing some of the extraneous programs it might help.

I couldn't locate the thread with Method's title, so i gave him a new honorific (see second post above) - if someone can point me to where he got a title I'll edit my post

(And thanks, Kody. I'd forgotten about msconfig. Amazing the number of old programs that loaded and took up space - like my Verizon Palm Springs internet connection stuff - not needed that for four months)

I wanna use navy rankins . As I spend 8 years in the navy.

Lieutenant Dissident for me. Although that makes it seem like a lesser rank (as army lieutenants are O1 and O-2 i believe)

You could be an admiral, we'll have a navy soon enough.

eventually we should move up in rank.

I think after my time in service, I should have risen to Lt. Commander by now

well, shouldn't you be commanding the SCC Invincible? We landlubbers have little sense of what's appropriate
