    Ah, I just noticed that from the actual game turns you guys are playing. We do have 171 credits at the moment but I guess a few extra won't hurt.

    We have the largest military on Planet, by the way. Four scout rovers, three scout patrols, a scout chopper and the unity mining laser.

      What do you think? Should we study AppPhys after PlanNets instead of IndAuto and start churning out transport foils and recon rovers, or should we just land a diplomatic team and let the Morganite pigs gain fat too? After all, we could probe IndAuto from them, by the looks of it.

      (Can I contact them after just a contact with a foil?)

      Oh and I wouldn't mind losing this game either, that would let the others have a false sense of security.

      They will have 1-2-1's, though, we would need to build 2-1-1's from Command Center bases and have them visit a monolith to really gain an upper hand.

        That question was quickly answered, the Morgans have initiated diplomatic talks. I'll have a chat with the Morganite representative in nine hours. I think I'll threaten their pants off of them.

          I'm curious, how's the game going? I read in the turn tracking thread that Morgan got the HGP. Were your bullying efforts successful?

            Yes and no. I decided that Sparta's interests for now will be the eradication of the Peacekeepers and the Believers, and I ended up signing a treaty with AndiD and trading our map for PlanNets. Now I'm getting to the crawlers phase, I get to crawl mins out of forests and hurry the WP and we're researching nonlinear math.

            It's going alright, though I'm not too concerned, I'm just playing it for fun like any regular PBEM.

              Cool, sounds like fun. I see that in this game Morgan had crawlers before 2130. I guess we can expect the same pace or even earlier in the ACDG.

                True.

                The Morganites are growing in power early game, and I'm hoping I can use that to my advantage. I'll be all touchy-feely with them, but once I can assemble a grand alliance from the other weaker human players, his days are numbered. Sparta will be the closest human faction with the largest military effort, so we should also benefit the most.

                  Deidre: 10 -> Abstain
                  Miriam: 8 -> Domai
                  Lal: 20 -> Domai
                  Domai: 24 -> Domai
                  Morgan: 33 -> Morgan
                  Santiago: 16 -> Abstain
                  Roze: 17 -> Abstain

                  Morgan didn't ask me for a vote, because the election was lost for him anyway.

                  Domai and Morgan seem to be the big guns right now. Morgan's early crawler flush and PTS have allowed him to perform an early boom or such, which doesn't worry me one bit: this was expected, really, and if all goes well I'll be able to talk the Angel and Gaian players into a nifty league against him when the need arises. For now, though, I plan to Crush Lal and the Believers: the Believers bases appear to be land-connected to Gaian ones, which again means that they'd form a very interesting foothold on that continent. Intimidate the Gaians a bit there.

                    The Angels beat me to the punch with the Weather Paradigm , but through some tech trading I'll be able to research Doc:Loyalty after NonlinearMath. This means that we'll be able to get the Command Nexus if all goes well, to train our impact troops, or the CDF is all else fails. Then just churn out some impact infantry and whack Lal's butt, and then churn out transports and whack Miriam's butt. That ought to give a nice early advantage.

                      Our first impact rover leaves the factory. A nice Commando (+), I'll have it stop by a monolith to make it Elite. DocLoyalty is 8 years away, with proper timing that means we'll have the Command Nexus in nine with the mins piling up from the production of Weather Paradigm. By that time we ought to have enough Impact units, infantry and speeders, to make a grab for Lal. Probing Lal has been most difficult, two times a PK unit has happened on our intrepid team.

                        Things are going perfectly. Two Commando(+) and one Elite(+) Impact rover are two turns away from taking UN Headquarters, and we've probed SOTHB from them - Morgan is willing to trade Gene Splicing for it, and Ecological Engineering for Doctrine: Loyalty once we get it (I intend to secure the Command Nexus before giving it though, with the stockpiled minerals from building the WP). By the looks of it, it appears we'll be able to conquer Lal and have the Command Nexus within the next ten years.

                          AndiD informs me that the Gaians are six turns away from completing the Command Nexus. That means they'll have it in 2179. At the going rate I'll have DocLoyalty in 2175 and the CN built in 2176, as long as the Gaians don't purchase it everything will fall in to place wonderfully in a "nyah nyah beat you to it" fashion.

                              Also, we jumped quite a bit closer to the Angels with the SP. Still the lagging human faction, though, hopefully that'll change. Especially since Spoils of War is on.

                                #1 in military and in territory. We are connected by land to Miriam and Deirdre, so there's a lot of room for easy expansion.
