Having read Tass's thread asking when we are going to end the game makes we wonder.
Although Tass often is complaining about the inactivity of the game (he did the same in ACDG II), he does make me think of what we should do.
I have hinted, but held off saying it for a few months, that I feel that our chance of winning this thing has passed.
We need to take down Sparta.
The last time we got a copy of the world map they had a substantial lead over everyone else.
They have infiltration of us and who knows of the rest of the human teams.
I don't know how we can do this.
They were two key events that led to this situation.
One, Spartans infiltration of us and our failure to return the favor.
Two, our loss of Morgan Ind with the PTS and Net Node.
So, What do we want to play for?
We can play to last as long as possible.
We can play to be the last to lose.
We can play to see just how far we can develope.
We can play to try out new techniques and develope the gameplay. Not playing to win can be liberating.
We could be reckless and say give our entire cash production or most of it to DA each turn for tech each turn.
Sparta says that they are going to try for a Trans victory. I don't really believe it. They should try for a conquest victory taking out all the other factions in one fell swoop, or at least one turn per faction.
Even if they did go for a trans victory, we would not stand much of a chance trying to steal it from them. They have infiltration and would be able to see if we had a possibilty of taking it from them.
We could try to continue to win, but we would need them to make a big mistake for us to get back in the game.
