  • Governor elections

    Hi,

    got a PM from Geo:

    EO's of the Corporation,

The Data Angels are prepared, for a proper price, to support the Morgans' choice in these elections.
In case you are interested, these are the current stats in the elections:

    Zakharov: 6 votes for Sparta
Lal: 82 votes for the Peacekeepers
Yang: 94 votes for the Human Hive
    Sinder Hercules: 38 open votes
    Nwadube Morgan: 44 open votes
    The Junta: 52 open votes

There are 3 contenders for the Governors' Seat thus.

There are interesting possibilities on whether your enemy the Peacekeepers will become governor, or your neighbour the Hive.

Please respond whether or not you wish to deal on this. We need a valid reason in case we wish for an extension of our turn playtime.
Does it matter whether it will be Lal or Yang? Intuitively, I would say Lal - but we will be at war with both guys in a few turns so it doesn't really matter. (That is, after we steal D:AP from Yang although we could try and frame Sparta if we have more than one attempt to steal )
    3

    3
    Yang

    The poll is expired.

does the free infiltrator help the ai at war? If that is not the case I'd say it does not matter.

                Not that I would know.

I send the following PM to Geo - they won't get any money from us for a meaningless vote, but perhaps this is a great way to build a more trusted and open relationship:

                Sinder Geo,

The Corporation has decided that we will vote for Lal. Talks on secret channels confirmed that he was pressed into declaring Vendetta upon us by blatant threats from the Junta. He is deeply worried about the current state of affairs on Planet and hopes that a position of Council leader will empower him to lead Planet to a more peaceful - and if I may add, a more profitable - state for all factions.

The Corporation also has faith in the Data Angels placing their vote in the best interest of Planet - especially under the light of Lord Chaos latest empathy-aided insights into the current state of geopolitics - see his letter to the editor in the latest issue of the Phalanx.

The Corporation appreciates the open cooperation with the Data Angel faction in this case and will keep good memory of their goodwill for future transactions.

                On behalf of the Corporation
                Yours truly,
                AndiD
SOO and Acting Turnplayer of Morgan Industries
I had an exam today so I hadn't got time for a consultation - but I would appreciate feedback for my first steps in global diplomacy.
