  • The return of a CEO.

The CEO sank down in his chair at last. It had been many years since he'd last been here, and much had happened in the mean time. What he had left as a small conglomerate, held together only by string it had seemed, was now a massive faction, rivalling all but the hive. His subordinates had done well.

Of course, if more medicinal research had been carried out, then maybe he'd have been back sooner, but beggars can't be choosers. Of course it would take many years to discover a complete cure for cancer, but the gene splicing techniques had gone very well indeed. His new liver was functioning normally, and the scars had all but disappeared.

But that was all in the past, and now, there was a lot of work to do. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long to get back in to the organisation, yet he knew it would take some time.

But for now, there were certain pleasures that a man needs after some twenty years in stasis. He called for his “secretary”.

    *************************

It's been a while.... sorry for disappearing without any notice. I had some medical issues (Although not liver cancer like the good CEO.) which kept me off a computer for a good while.

Am back now, although I'm still trying to catch up with everything that's happened. Looking good I think

    Talk about good timing.

We have the HGP and PTS and are going for the PEG, which we hope to cash in the crawlers four turns from now.

As for humans, the Spartans established contact with us 4 turns ago. We have executed a tech trade a turn ago. We have two ships that were sent out a few turns ago to make contact.

Right now, I think Sparta is going to try to be on both sides to maximize their possible gains. They are going for the CDF and have not said anything about CN even though it would be logical for them to get it.

        Good to see you, Chaunk.

Do you want to start playing the turns again? I have lots of trouble finding the time these days.

Sure can start playing the turns, but I'd like some time to try and get back into the swing of things. How about I start back in 2150?

Welcome back Chaunk, I feared we were doomed without your glorious leadership. Those fools named a land locked city after the CNO

It looks like I'm back too. I'm not totally out of the woods yet with my own recurring medical problems, however I can at least access the forum without any difficulties now. Damned ISP.

Welcome back, Archaic. Hope you feel better soon. We just met Zak, and will probably meet Lal soon, so you can put your AI diplomacy ideas to work for us.

Unlikely, sadly, seeing as we seem to have either met them late, or started off on the wrong foot. But I'll try.

                          Welcome back Chaunk!

Im going to try and come back at least as a lurker as well.

It was a very busy fall for me, and I have my fingers into so many things at Apoly, I have not had time to lurk here.

Ill be checking out the threads and asking a lot of dumb questions probably so try and be patient.

                          Thanks

Hey, con. We have a warehouse full of dumb answers and we need to liquidate, so ask away.
