  • 2135 End Turn and 2136 Discussion

    The turn has arrived.

Zakharov has started the HGP. Interesting timing. I hope he didn't start with a bunch of crawlers that he just cashed in.

I'll play the turn in 8-12 hours.

I think we just provoked Zak by starting our SPs.

      Populations:

      G: 11
      H: 39
      A: 7
      M: 9
      S: 11

We had so many doctors this turn that I tried 20% psych (40/20/40). The doctors going to work gains a lot of minerals, which saves us more ec's in rush cost than we lose to psych. It also lets us rush the crawler at ZZT and still rush two CP's next turn. When Mor Vul goes to one pop, and Imp Pol and Money V rush CP's, we lose a lot of the benefit of 20% psych, so we should probably go back to 50/50 or 60/40 next turn.

Money V and Imp Pol can rush CP's next turn for 25(24?) and 28 ec, respectively.

RFR could rush one if we we prefer it to one of the other two. It loses more from the size decrease, though, since it would just have a drone, like ZZT. Plus, Imp Pol could start on HGP.

The defense lawyer went south. We can see our border now. An intrepid reporter could probably deduce the location of the nearest Hive base.

The mindworm attacked our scout... we won. There's another worm on the monolith east of Mor Vul. I moved the scout from SSR to cover that base.

CP out of Mor Vul next turn... if our scout can beat the MW, we could go S along the road, then E, found the base there, and work the monolith. The base location thread seemed to indicate people prefer that location to the one on the other side of the monolith.

RFR can rush the last 7(?) mins of a CP in 2137. Doctor already assigned, but two doctors will be required in 2137. In 2136, the nutrient-SC goes to (29,19) for two mins.

Here's the end-turn file. I'll be available again within 12 hours to make adjustments and post for the Spartans.

What should we do if our CP can't go S then E? Where should we put it? How about two squares W of Mor Ind, to plant it ASAP?

Also, should we remove the fungus next to the tower? It will weaken the fungal tower and provide another good base location. Having a base there will let us pop that pod, too.

              Turn posted for the Spartans.

Whoha, what about being next to the western pod so we can pop it safely? Otherwise worms are very likely. We could forest the min bonus quickly with all those formers over there.

An infilitration, maybe buyout of the base 6 squares south would be nice.

It pains me to see gang terraforming w/out roads.

Might I also point out that Zak started the HGP. Someone said "I hope not with a lot of crawlers". Let's not forget that Zak is an AI.

Yeah, but who says Buster didn't give Zak a bunch of crawlers to start the game with? Those CMN's... they're a sneaky bunch. I've heard people say the AI will cash in crawlers for an SP, if they're available.

I'm seeing that in my games. So the sooner we get the wonders the better.

I've seen the comp cash crawlers for a project.

Oh, whoops. I said that they didn't.

                            Silly me.

I suspect that we are probably going to send the Litigator south towards the Hive base to infiltrate it.

Do we want to build a new *-2-2 Litigator and send it to sit in the fungus and stand guard over the chock point to keep Yang's scout (and other units) from coming north?
