  • 2123 End turn + 2124 discussion

Sorry, Chaunk, I kind of butted in and played this turn. I woke up in the middle of the night with indigestion and found the turn waiting for us. I started playing it without realizing that I really shouldn't unless a) it's the official turn or b) there were no possibility I'd need to hit end-turn to your turn. So to exit the ethical dilemna with the least detriment to my integrity, I'm posting the end turn so you can open and adjust if necessary, then you can post in the turn tracking thread. In the future I'll refrain from doing any movements unless I know I'll be responsible for that turn.

Do we have a terraforming plan? If we get the PTS with 13 bases the amount of squares that will have to be terraformed will be about ~30 squares. That is not counting roads.

Finished the turn will post shortly. Thought it was also worth noting pop:
        Gaians - 6
        Angels - 5
        Sparta - 5

Somehow we're losing on that front... I think we've mangaged to get an exceptionally low number of nut resources compared to normal, but also a large number of energy bonuses. To my mind, we should be attempting to crawl those bonueses to MorInd asap to maximise the network node bonus.

Regarding terraforming... well it's difficult if you get formers rather late. I had luck in the minigame because of all those nut specials. Here things may become more difficult...

Every HGP+PTS base (with one drone and without rectanks) needs at least a 2 nut square around with two other squares with 1 nut. RecTanks help tremendously (3 forests possible) as well as Dem (9-10 bases instead of 6-7 with one talent, one worker and one drone).

You don't need to have everything terraformed by then (on the contrary, you finally CAN terraform everything with every base supporting two formers = our private WP) but at least those 2 nuts must be somewhere around there...

I like Chaunk's initial crawler plan. Will solaring the 3 energy bonuses yield the most energy?

At 10-999m altitude, forest is just as good for energy and cheaper to terraform. Above 1000m, we should solar the energy bonuses.

I agree with AndiD on PTS and terraforming... PTS indirectly improves your ability to terraform, and your ability to benefit from it.

I also agree in principle with Chaunk on crawling the energy bonuses to the HQ with the node. However, HGP and PTS might have better return on investment. They will also increase our capacity for producing even more crawlers to rehome to the HQ. At that point, after we crawl the energy specials, all the volcano squares around the peak will provide 2 energy, and so will all river squares.

We could crawl these spots for energy until we cash the crawlers in for the PTS...

We could build an E-Bank at Mor Ind (rename to SEC?) after we get some crawlers out. SEC = Securities and Exchange Commission = Super Energy City.

I think those spots are quite a way away until after the HGP at least. Thats where our first crawlers should be going as that does give higher returns. Crawling the energy bonuses is a slightly longer term goal.

                      Forest the NBonus under Vulcanology?

I think we should start Foresting useless squares and mincrawling, then proceed to mine/road once we start researching ecoengineering.

If we expand NW, we could also forest the Mbonus there.
