We can better spend our resources on formers, crawlers, and facilities. Hopefully Yang can deny the Spartans it.

Yang will do the job and in time we'll steal some good tech from Yang again and convert it to a worthy SP!

        Spartans will build it then.

I say we start building the crawlers for it. If Yang takes it fine. Then we just use the crawlers for resourse collection til we have the tech for a more desirable SP. Otherwise, we should build it as denial.

If the Spartans weren't on the board, I'd be willing to ignore the TCN, but I believe they are the faction that will gain too much power with it.

We certainly do have the middle road as an option for a while. Here's the cost:

20 rows = 160 minerals for the CN
            - 50 from an AA
            = 110 minerals to cover

            24/crawler * 4 crawlers = 96

-> 14 minerals to cover, which can come from normal production or ECs

We have nearly enough now, though it would take some effort to concentrate.

TCN would help us in defense (instant healing of units in base) and amend our morale penalty, not mentioning denying the project to violent factions.

And what other things we gain except from fast healing and denying it to Spartans?

                Morale of -1?

                Calculation:

Our morale SE is -3, it gives -2 to morale of units + modifiers halved

if we make this sp, all we get is one more morale point and the healing ability..

                Is that that much?

Even if Spartans builds it, it will only prevent them from being destroyed in the best case..
Hive will start an invasion of their lands quite soon I think..

Since when are Hive and Spartans in war? Hive is at war with us.

Where did I say that they're at war?

I just think that the chain of events - Hive and Spartan borders clashing, their bases just 10+ tiles away..
You know, AI calculates that distance, especially an aggressive AI..

The Hive, despite being at war with us, does not present a credible threat. Right now, only the Spartans and Morganites pose threats.

We should build a sea former immediately after we get Flex, send it north and sink the landbridge. That we ensure we aren't buggered with Hive troops.

We can do this, though it will be expensive. It will cost ~100 ECs to sink the land bridge. However, the proposal is reasonable, given our ability to ship units around at sea (compared to the AI's relative ineptitude at this).

Our current -3 Morale SE level leaves us at an -2 actual morale. TCN grants +2 actual morale, which then breaks us even. Think about it....160 mins to gain an equivelent of +3 to our SE tables, not a bad deal. Now I am not asserting TCN is the best SP to go with right now, but it is undervalued and it's denial value is enormous against one of our big threats.

Besides, don't kid yourself, a hybrid faction will need to go to war eventually in order to slow down the builder (read Morgan) faction.

Facilities with + morale effects have their benefits halved when your Morale rating is <= -2
