Our diplomatic negotiations with Angels are completely paralyzed because of lack of feedback. Only one person, binTravkin, has commented their recent proposal. This is why I think that if we receive turn soon, which may happen, turnplayer or any other player must not play turn, or post it in the turn tracking thread, until we reach a conclusion or the time limit approaches. I have no idea what to respond to Angels in case of IA trade. They proposed trade for future tech and unit of their choice, and they have as well asked if we are beelining to Biogenetics. No response to that either. What to tell them? Do we accept, do we reject, do we propsoe a counter proposal. I am not sure what are we ready to accept. This cannot continue no longer. If there is no feedback or interest than we cannot function. Perhaps we should introduce compulsory voting? Is this a sign we are falling apart?

Even if there is only one Gaian left, we can still play. I will re-read the latest diplo and respond. There is nothing to do but accept that we have only 2-4 active strategists/tacticians. With that in mind, we should get 2 votes on every issue, 2 opinions that agree before moving on. Ties can be broken by PMing the less active members.

This is all the more reason to keep diplo messages very short and to the point. Without adequate voices to suggest nuanced communications, we are safer by keeping quieter until such time as eloquence can be satisfactorily commented upon and improved for good effect.

You could do a poll. 24/48 hours, and pick the best option. Many people will vote who won't post their choices, as well as giving it some credance

I now count three opinions on the current diplo: Illuminatus, binTravkin, me. Furthermore, we are in accordance for the most part. I'm hopeful we can PM our diplo right now. Please opine on that.

Maybe future tech and SL? Demand that? Help me formulate a response?

Trading our next tech + the spore launcher for IA seems fine to me.

We are not beelining to Bio-engineering, as far as I know, since we haven't discussed it. We might as well tell them we haven't discussed the next beeline yet.

I didn't say much because I had already expressed my opinion, and didn't see the need to repeat myself.

The exchange of knowledge is more interesting, and would represent a degree of trust between our factions. I have no problem sharing the amount of knowledge that treaty would entail.

Yeah, SL + Nexttech = ok!

              Rules:
              ------------------------------------
1.Decisions should be made within 24h if turn is received in that time.

2.if turn is received more than in 24h after the last turn has been sent, the instant turnplayer should read the opinions so far, add his vote and play the result immediately; if no opinion/voting has been made, the instant turnplayer is free to play the turn as he believes it'll represent the Gaian Union best.

3.Any of the Highest Lords (Chaos Theory, Illuminatus, Smacksim) is allowed to be the instant turnplayer on dependence who is the first to be online, if turn is received or who is given the task to do it if more than one of them are online.

4.In case no instant turnplayer is available, the turn should be delayed.

5.In case no instant turnplayer is available for 48h or more, the highest ranked official online should do the turn as instant turnplayer (a.k.a. temporary election of instant turnplayer)

6.In case no instant turnplayer is available for 72h or more, elections should be made for new instant turnplayers.

7.If an instant turnplayer has an issue in his turn which he believes, he can't solve, he must delay the turn and wait for 2 more opinions (to make a total of 3 with his own).

8.Any incompetent instant turnplayer can be banned by the other turnplayers plus at least 50% of other active* members.
              * - a person can be considered "active" if he/she has posted in Gaian Private Forums during last 48h

              ------------------------------------

This is a draft for our Strategical Code!

Please read it and express your opinion, propose changes/add-ons!

After 48h from now, it'll be considered complete and taken to the polling stage..

Are we researching Biogenetics as our next tech or not? Or is choice of our next tech yet undetermined? I still need answer to that.

So we must bring up the b-line thread once again and see that after IA we're going for restriction lifting and the 1st and most valuable tech in that b-line is BioGen, the 2nd is SocPsy, therefore we should research BioGen next and SocPsy after it or vice versa if we don't get the choice of BioGen!

                  Your opinion about ruleset Illuminatus?

                  ADD:
Also, good idea about polling important issues for 24/48h!

Thanks binTravkin. However poll of 24/48 is a terrible idea, since it will be closed with two votes at best. Besides, anyone should express their opinion via post, so that we understand why he or she is supporting that.
