    You are not?
    * Illuminatus promotes binTravkin on behalf of Lady Deirdre

Read my profile - I am AI Diplomacy Advisor of Lord of Diplomacy, Octavian X

Maybe I can promote myself to simply Advisor as I'm the only one doing diplomatical research apart from Octavian X and you, Illuminatus

Lords are a title, not a position - and you certainly deserve it with interest you are showing for game. I believe anyone who participates is automaticaly a Lord.

        Hmm..
Maybe we should invent some position structure, like "sire", "lord" or somesuch..
You know, just to raise interest for gaining a title (expressing activity here )

            Official Positions

This thread is dedicating to development of official promotion system which would depend on activity level of a participant.

Feel free to express you thoughts!

            Some initial ideas:

1.There should be at least 2 categories:
            "Sire"
            "Lord"
            with lord being the highest
Others could be "Councillor", "Don" (the lesser one) or somesuch

2.There should be NO such positions as "pawn" or some other "negative" ones - they must all look "honorable"

3.The promotion should not be automatical, but electional - when all the "Lords" (or whichever is the highest position) agrees, someone could be promoted.

4.The official position should stand in participants "location" field in "User Control Panel/My Profile"

I created a discussion thread for it here:

I was removing it from 2135 discussion and moving to here - since it is a bit offtopic from turn planning- but I took some minutes to reply to your post in PF2135 thread Chaos - so the thread remained afloat for some time. You took no time to reply to it Chaos .

You moved things around when I was reading the threads, then. I was somewhat confused at seeing the same series of posts in two threads at once.

Yes. They need to be split, then merged. However I wonder what people think about binTravkin's proposal - it may encourage more people to participate.
