  • Base production

Vote on what you would like to see produced at our current bases, and the next two. If you want something not listed, don't vote for that base and write in what you want. Vote once per base.

If the base in question has accumulated too many minerals to switch, or doesn't yet exist, vote for the next build. If switching is still free/cheap, then vote for the current build.

This does not concern what we should switch to in case of a pod hurry, just what we should build with normal minerals and paid hurries.

That is, after they finish what they are currently working on, correct? With the exception of Fallow Time (Base 2), which has less than a row of minerals done.

Also, when we are about to pop a unity pod, we have the possible case of re-queueing a useful large mineral unit, like a probe, for the duration of the pod-pop, if and when that nearest base to the pod has less than 10 minerals produced.

    I voted.

Bases that have accumulated many minerals towards their current production will not be changed lightly.

Bases with >10 mins accumulated *can* be switched to a costly build before a pod pop, then switched back to the original build if the pod did not yield a free hurry, without a penalty.

In the case of a pod pop, we can queue either a CP (if the base has sufficient population) or a Synthmetal Probe team (expensive but useful, and it would prototype Synthmetal for us).

You might want to further clarify the poll: This is for what to build after the current build is done, if that is in fact, what you are meanin'.

So is this poll for current production of for after the current build is done?

That's how I'm interpreting it: What to build after current production is done, with the exception of FTime, which could still switch without penalty. Since I'm the only one who voted, perhaps its good to follow this idea....

In that case: change FT to colony pod.
              Virgin soil: CP
Dreams of Green: scout for garrison GL - CP.

Map Key for posters would be nice. I'm too lazy

                Base 1: Gaia's Landing
                Base 2: Fallow Time
                Base 3: Virgin Soil
                Base 4: Dreams of Green
Base 5: built from Gaia's CP, due in a few turns
Base 6: built from Fallow Time (probably)

One pod pop can change so much that it's tough to try to guess what we will need to produce so far into the future. I guess it's good to start thinking about it anyway

Are we going to stop for a breather when we hit the bdrone limit or are we going to just keep making CP's?

One more thing to consider....it's just about time to start on our 1st Special Project, now that we have an AA, we'll be in Planned soon, and we'll get to Wealth at about the 1/2 way point. Dreams of Green looks perfect as it will have another monolith available when it gets to size 2. How about right after the former is completed we start on it there?

This poll should be cited in turn discussions. A new poll should be made every few years, hopefully with a map key.

It is 3 votes to 0 to build a former at base 5, but a scout patrol was built instead? What's going on?

The problem was, that NW suggested building SP, and no one mentioned anything else in the turn planning thread, not even following the polls result. Seing that DoG suffered MW attack, and SL was to move to GL, perhaps it was better to make sure that all bases are defended, as NW suggested. Well, we can get former now.
