  • Too obscure?

Perhaps I was too subtle. My last Gaian Times was an oblique swipe at our good friend EN, and a tribute to the Gaian formerly known as obstructor.

Don't worry, that's exactly the way I interpreted it when I read it. However, just like with Mark Twain.....reports of Obstructor's departure have been greatly exaggerated.

Havn't read it yet, just skimmed. I'll get back to ya when I do. I think others have read it though, and responded somewhere (can't remember the thread)

Quite nice. A good compliment to the local paper and worthy of archive in ACDG for all time. I think it would be fun to add some misinformation in the future. Obs--I mean Illuminatus was hinting about doing that yesterday. Also, I'm up for writing articles. Suggested 'Chironian Gardening Tips' previously, but I could do most anything.

          Paper

Hmmm... Dunno quite where to put this? Anyone give me a hand? Sort of a short news blip...

Today Gaian researcher Paul Sterkos (Just a name I came up with, make up your own or use a faction member) unveild a new technique for processing the strange plant-like growth of Planet that has been labeled xenofungus. The new technique, relatively easy to implement, results in a high nutrient dish that is 'not bad' in taste, and much more edible than any other dish with origins in the xenofungus has been! Not suprisingly, the Gaian government bought the right to the process, and is now implementing it, to great effect, taking the strain of the forests, farms, and hydroponics in general. (Possible addition) The company (Come up with an inventive name, anyone) that employs Sterkos has begun developing more advanced techniques for fungus processing, such as flavoring it. Preliminary experiments have yielded, we are told, things like a honeydew sluree, apple-fungus pancakes, and other such things.

The best graphic I can find for it is fung_sm.pcx

Did you read the Spartan Newspaper that Kassiopeia just put up? Look for Xenoburritos. Very funny stuff. No reason why we can't retort with our own high cuisine. Good idea.
