Then we proceeded to invade the Peacekeepers. After they were done, we proceeded to the Angels who self-destructed. Then debate over who to go after next. Choice fell on the Morganites again. Don't know the years though... Some wars with the Hive in the meantime as well.
That little attack force was an invasion fleet?? you didnt even take a base on turn one, and reloads of the turns show we could have mostly held you off(obvoiusly overestimated S troops in the area). i was thinking that was a probe attack for infiltration

Your definition of "unanimous" is interesting. There is only a single vote in the poll in the private forum, and it doesn't quite correspond with your statement.
if you want to stop terrorism; stop participating in it

      Keep yourself updated!

Besides, Gaian Union must admit, that due to recent inactivity of citizens, it had in fact transformed into oligarchy of sorts with only one Pparty existing, consisting of two members - The High Lord Chaos Theory and The Lord Of Progress binTravkin.
Democracy and all other constitutional freedoms, however, were preserved inside the Party.

As one might expect in such states all matters are decided in secret meetings public discussions over the famous broadcast channel International Communist Citizens Quorum, often referred to as ICQ.

At the moment, the Spartan vote says 4:0 in favor opening the private forum.

You do realize you just made the Angels look even more like little bunny rabbits scared of the big bad wolf? I mean, you did not even try to put up a fight.
        Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

Modo, game is over, there's no need to point out who did bad or good.
We all know that, now let us sit friendly in a circle and laugh of our mishaps and stumbles during this ACDG.

No it was only an infiltration attack, and we also managed to steal the HSA tech the same turn, and build it - very very important for us!

We might have been able to capture a base or two the next turn - but the DA reaction of obliterating half of Heaven completely shocked me

We managed to blow up one of our own transports, with a rover on it - that was a bit of a surprise

                How did it happen?
Was it a coup aboard the ship?
Or a suicide terrorist Gaian Hiverian attack?

It's kinda funny when you try to picture it:

Captain of the transport to the Commander of the Gatling Rover Troop:
"Hey look there on the coast! A couple Morganic formers. Let's blow 'em up!"

                    Commander to the rover pilots:
"All right you've heard it guys. Let's try to finish the job with a single salvo. Take your positions aaaaaaaand... FIRE!"

                    BOOM!
(laser shots woozing randomly all over the place, hitting the ship itself)

Captain: "OMG OMG we're sinking! Aaaaaaah!"

                    Commander: >_<

                    ***

                    (never self-destruct a unit on a transport)

Well, as the Colonel commanding the PTS raid, it wasn't quite like that.

The original intention was to take out both the PTS and the HGP, and in all the sims we ran we managed to obliterate both bases.

So I parked the rover-laden trannie in the fungus outside the Morgan port. However, I overlooked the fact that Morgan were completing a foil that next turn, so when they tried to exit the port they saw the trannie there, and hastily lined the shores with an assortment of units (infantry, crawlers, formers, probe units, etc)

When we opened the turn, it was back to the sim to see what now was possible, and we could only take out the PTS, as some rovers needed their amphibious movement points to take out the defenders ringed round the shore to clear the way for the others (thus a couple stayed on the transport, turn completed)

After the mission was accomplished, we were left with a couple of badly damaged rovers that could'nt make the full return trip to the ship (which had all its own movement points left for withdrawing)

I tried to be cute and use the "self distruct with a bang" command on those damaged rovers to try and take out a couple of Morgan formers as collateral damage, but malhereusement took out our own transport with 2 elite rovers as well. (and the lesson was, simulate everything - I didn't use the simulator to see what effect self destructing might have)

Ah well, it just turned out to be a more expensive mission than we had planned.

So that explains where your surplus troops and transport went after the attack... I thought you selfdestructed them all on purpose to remove your tracks.

We were sure they self destructed on purpose. didn't want to hand over a bunch of shiny elite amphibious rovers to us.

We planned to, for all units we could not have stacked to prevent them being mind-controlled. It was a clear possibility (taken into acconut) that those units would not come back. Next time around we had a real invasion prepared, you know the outcome...
