The turn is due august 23rd at 23:41:19 apolyton time. 22 hoursish.
There's what it shows for Googlies time:

And mine:

I am late 2h 18min (and I am sorry for that), but not 22 hours.

He meant he granted a 24 hour extension, leaving you 22 hours left to play, as you were two hours late. I appreciate the conditions and while I think waiting until just before the deadline to play is risky, I do feel for people who's turnplayers are away and who's server crashes.

I like to ask a provisionally 12 hour turntime extension.
The reason is that our turnplayer seems to have fixed times online nowadays which are mostly incompatible with the rest of the team so last-minute discussions are pretty much impossible.
This is to give other teammembers the chance to check the endturn before posting it.
It may not be needed, but better safe then sorry.

As a regular thing, we cannot give one team an extension. I understand the time the turn player an rest of team have online may not match, but 48 hours is plenty of time to be able to do a quick turn, have input from the others, then finish it off, regardless of the lack of last minute discussions possible due to different times online.
As a one off, if a particular, unplanned, event occurs, then it's fine, but I won't grant a regular 12 hour extension for things that are occuring every turn, as they're easy to plan around.
