I can't play the turn because I can't get SMACX to run on my celeron XP laptop (plus I have been out of the game so long my inepitude would cause us to probably end up capitulating to the Belivers.)
But this raises in my mind the following:
If we can't find a native born Hiverian to play the turn then why don't we allow a Drone to play the turn.
Consider:
The Hive turn follows the Drone turn.
Why don't we share the burden of turnplaying with the Drones.
One year a native Hive member can play both the Drone and Hive turns. The next year a native Drone member can play both the Drone and Hive turns.
It will make the game go much faster.
Hong Hu has given so much that I feel that we have asked too much of her. It is not fair.
If there is such opposition to allowing a native born Drone member to play our turns (and vice versa) then I suggest that the protesters volunteer to be Turnplayers.
Come to think of it, I'm going to start a new thread on this. Please post responses there.
If somebody is going to play this turn, please remember we can't probe Drones for tech yet since we need to plan it and let them know which base they should get their probes out so that there won't be a probe fight.
We can still try probe Roze for IB though.

I will be on MSN for essentialy the whole day (I'll come on as soon as I get something to eat since I just woke up). If my assistance is required I would be more than happy to provide it.

Can you play the non military part of the game Chairman? Or talk to Rubin see if he could play it?
I'm playing the non-military part of the turn at the moment. I have followed through with Comrade Rubin's request for military production, as well as going with the general policy outlined in the Internal Affairs discussion thread about base development (building Energy Banks in bases which have workers on forest squares in order to make way for the construction of Tree Farms).
The only thing which I am yet uncertain of is what to do with the terraforminers, as well as what we should build in the newly captured Data Angel bases.

Another question, what will we do with the probes? I noticed some discussion about probing the Drones for tech as well as the Angels, I am uncertain if this is my responsibility of Rubin's.

I have completed the industrial portion of the game, as per Comrade Rubin's request I have attempted to allocate more production to military matters. We were unable to meet his full request of 60% of our industrial capacity, currently we are only allocating 46.67% of our industrial capacity toward military production, and the Central Planning Committee will continue to increase the military allocation over time.
The borehole located at (31,23) near Rokossovkygrad has been destroyed due to xenofungal expansion. The crawler situated on that square has been moved to the free forest square at (28,24) and ordered to crawl minerals until such a time as the lost borehole can be reestablished.
Construction of a new borehole to the south of Kody's Legacy as begun.
No probe actions have been taken due to the fact that at this time I lack instructions on how to proceed. Several terraformers have not been assigned duties due to the fact that I am uncertain if Comrade HongHu had any specific intentions as to what to do with those terraformers in question, I will wait for word from her before acting on that.
That is all I have to report for the time being. If someone would look over the turn and post suggestions that would be must appreciated.

I had an argument with Rokossovky way back about fungal pops. He reorganised the crawlers to reduce pollution. I disagreed saying we needed as many fungal pops as we could get while we still didn't have much terraforming to increase our clean mineral limit.
My exact example was it was better to lose a forest than it was to lose a borehole. As a forest may regrow over the fungus, where a borehole will probably need to be reterraformed.

Funny it was Rokossovkygrad's borehole that got fungused.
I had also carefully organised the fungal pops to happen on non-rocky squares with lots of surrounding forests. Since fungus tends to grow towards a base from the nearest fungus square.

How about this? A player can organise where a fungal pop will occur? Is this simply by putting forests adjacent to a the nearest fungal tile of a given base?
