  • Turn 2165

    Unfinished save

Lately I have not been able to spend enough time on the turns. So I would really apprieciate if somebody could look at the turn and see if I made any mistakes and if there are other things that we should consider.

Comrades, the Central Military Committee faces an important decision.

Our forces are in a position to initiate the first part of the Data Angel invasion. The newly founded base, Rubinite, holds sufficient forces to capture the first Data Angel base.

However, we only have a single Liberator (1-3-1, Drop) and a single drop probe team able to reach the base this year. Hence, our defenses may be insufficient (we do have plenty of rovers able to reach the base). To alleviate some of this concern we can station either Yangfighters or Yangbombers at key locations preventing Datajack Roze easy access to her lost base. Add to this that she only commands a single probe team within her mainland and it is possible to prevent access for this particular unit.

Intelligence on Data Angel naval probe measures is lacking.

Finally, Roze has only a few offensive impact troops that may engage in a base liberation mission. It is entirely uncertain if she is able to engage the base at all.

An early attack now may give us valuable time but also put us at risk at the newly conquered base.

So, is the Hive to launch the offensive this year or should we wait another year?

Would it be possible to send some choppers or fighters to go further than the first base and empty the surounding bases? Also, we should see how developed her road system is and if we can bomb some roads to prevent the approaching of probe teams. One probe team seems a little too risky to me if we do not have the surroundings cleared out. Roze is good at probing afterall.

It maybe more prudent if we send out advanced troops for clearing out the surrounding bases first.

      Just my personal opinion.

Looks like we may need to steal her map afterall?

Comrade Chairman Rubin, I am of the 'better safe than sorry' camp. I'd much rather minimize all risks that may be involved with our Angelic liberation movement.

pre-END TURN file: (Edit: File removed.)

We lack probes and the invasion is to start next year!

Ok I will build some more drop probs in the closest bases next year. To avoid this kind of shortage happening again in the future I would appreciate a list of military production request from the CMC.

Comrade HongHu, the CMC was surprised at the current lack of probe troops. The CPC cannot be blamed for this as the fault lies entirely on the CMC. The problem is not that of poor communication; rather, the CMC must have had some internal problems that caused this faulty military evaluation.

Hmmm the people applaud the self examing spirit of the CMC. I have checked the military units list in 2163/2164. Appearently we should have at least 10 drop probes. Perhaps they have not been moved to the front yet?

Just a note, Rokossovkygrad should rush buy a energy bank since it is crawling all that energy. That investment will pay itself off very quickly. Maybe a treefarm too, but I assume it's mainly military production now.

Just curious, was the cycon strikeforce that destoryed the peace encountered yet? Because if it wasn't then you can probably expect it to still be somewhere north of the data angels. Either heading for the Data Angels or heading for the Hive. (not likely to head towards Drones as the drones probably haven't been infiltrated yet)

A question here, were you guys aware that CyCon infiltrated Hive?
In single player a message pops up when infiltrated, not so in Multiplayer?

Buster told the Hive that it was likely infiltrated when we had that base probed earlier. So from then on it was assumed we were infiltrated.
