  • CMC: Strategic Expansion (Data Angels)

    Fellow Comrades, I would like to put forward a proposal of strategic expansion. The current situation suggests the Data Angels as our next military target--succeeding the accomplishment of the University invasion already in progress.

    The Data Angels' mainland is still out of range of our drop troops. Thus, please consider preparing a strategic base site on the southern slope of Broken Heart Hill (exact coordinates [22,34]). This requires sufficient available nutrients and perhaps a sensor array. The base may develop but this is initially of no importance.

    Even if we should not launch an offensive immediately the base still has military merit; especially to our southern reconnaissance.

    General timeline: The base should be operational before M.Y. 2165--preferably by M.Y. 2163.

    Comrade Rubin
    Chairman of the Central Military Committee

    The Central Continuing Committee sees no problems with this approval; we would approve of the action to rid ourselves of our longtime enemies the Data Angels. Though we will not officially approve any such action without consultation with the Central Planning Committee, we seek more input from the People as to this issue before ruling on it.

    The CCC would also express reservations in involving ourselves in a two front war, our suggestion would be to put off any attack on the Angels until the CyCon threat has been negated. We do not wish to spread our forces too thin. Though we will reiterate that pending CMC recommendations we will consider an early attack on the Angels if the CMC feels confident that our forces are capable of operating on two fronts.

    It further need be noted that the CPC should make plans for the occupied bases to be incorporated into the administration of the Human Hive.

      I fuly agree with our chairman. lets finish with CPU first and then go for angels.

      this does not mean you cant begin you plan against angels in time.
      just try to use for it at less resources as posible and to pospone it as much as posibe.

      maybe if we had enough defences in citys closer to angels wecould allow our selfs to wait a lilte more till opening war with them.

        I agree that we should liberate those poor Data Angels under Datajack Roze's rule and bring them within the safety of the Hive.

        We must consider that the invasion of the University territory, if it goes exactly as planned, will bring the CyCon into the Vendetta. This means that we will be at war with the University, the CyCon, and the Data Angels.

        While I do agree that we should get rid of Roze's technobabble, we have to prioritize our objectives as well as plan for any surprises that the CyCon throws at us.

        What I'm really worried about, is if the CyCon somehow bribes the other factions into declaring Vendetta against us...which would mean we would be fighting more factions that we originally planned.

          Roze has already been our long time enemy. But she has not been able to do much damage to us. I agree to Rubin when the uni war is finished in 2161 to 2162, we could consider using our military force for another war. There is already a sensory array set up on top of broken heart hill. After a base is set up there, we could set another base up to the south east corner. There should be some formers building a borehole in that area and they should have time after finishing that job to build a new sensor.

          The Franky's base can start to build the colony pod when time is right.

              i dont think it will be that easy.
              please consider a war with CC following PUT for at least a few years.
              i think the best option would be to preper our self to defence our self from angels till we can turn war to them.

                Forgive me for being unclear on the timing issue. The suggested offensive against the Data Angels should only be initiated after the blitz-invasion of University territory and settlements. The University should pose no threat to us by M.Y. 2162-63.

                While I recognize that we will be at war with the infamous CyCon the current intelligence information shows no immediate safe access routes to CyCon territory. As a result, our forces would either remain out of range of striking CyCon settlements or spend several years in transit for a frontline far away from our current bases of operations.

                Conducting remote warfare is a high-risk strategy. We'll lose flexibility and momentum. Add to this, that we would require safe reinforcement and supply lines, which would tie up a considerable amount of our available forces. Thus, we should refrain from remote warfare unless we face an immediate emergency or need to make surgical strikes against key installations.

                The solution may be to advance via Datajack Roze's mainland. We should be able to gain full control of her land bases in less than 4 years of military conflict. At this point we are in perfect position to launch a decisive offensive against CyCon southwestern settlements; hopefully before M.Y. 2170.

                All I ask is to consider preparing a base of operations closer to the Data Angels' territory. This provides for more flexible options--not obligations!

                  I may have to disagree, Rubin. As I see it, with our recent public diplomatic action, we'd do better to be preparted for war with the CyUni first. I predict, that if we don't initiate the first attack, they will attack us within the next three years.

                    maybe we'll better preper the city to attack angels and use as much time as we have to be prepered to fight both fronts together (are we capable of it?).

                    any way the facts comarade Rubin rised about remote war should be taken seriusly. I dont think we can affor this kind of war.

                      I agree with Rubin. It will not be war in two fronts. The DataAngel war will be after the Uni front is cleared. And after we conqure Roze we will be able to face the CC front. We cannot attack CC right now, we are simply too far away from them. The military plan Rubin suggested seems to be the most reasonable and feasible one for me.

                          Three Top Reasons for Taking Data Angles

                          Yes, as stated earlier focus on Uni then Data Angles.

                          After we take Uni (starting preparations now, like the transport in New Moscow) we must take the Data Angles soon because:

                          3 - We are at war with them;

                          2 - They occupy a nice juicy piece of real estate;
                          Owning their bases allows us to threaten CyCon from the West; and most importantly

                          1 - CyCon will tear them to shreads, take their empire and be on our southern doorstep once Cycon gets drop forces.

                          We can even start the DA invasion as the Uni operations are still winding down.
