  • Job List

Here are some areas that I can think of that will be helpful. If you have any other ideas, please also list here.

Then when somebody complete one of the jobs, he can also post here so that people will know the results.

    1. PEACE communication, following up and etc.
Somebody needs to tell the PEACE our current situation. Basically we have accepted Init and the next turn there will be a cruiser complete that can escort their colony pod. Also the Drones has expressed their consent that PEACE can get SFF now and DAP when the univ/CC has it (in 3-4 turn). We need to urge them to directly contact the Drones since we don't have SFF. Then we need to think about where we should let them set up their base close to us and let them know.

    2. CC infiltration
We need somebody to cover the covert report, especially the CC part. We need to be on top of their war progress and research progress such as when they are going to get DAP. Also we need to keep an eye on if they are going to build an SP, for we would want to grab it if it is one of our desired one and if Drones can't do it before CC gets it.

    3. Teraforming
Where do we need more farm/condensors? Where do we need boreholes? Where should we set up energy parks if we need one? There is a teraforming plan developed by Jamski and Kody sometime ago but we can't do it all at once so somebody needs to think about the sequences.

    4. Base production
Should all bases be involved in war preparation? Which bases should be designated to military production? Which base should be a science city and what should we build in that? What should other bases be doing?

i dont think i'm such a good player, but since i was going to complain that the production of the citys doesnt seem to be so good (at least to my humble opinion) if there's no one else to take the jub of production planning i'll take it ( also im an indurtrial engineer so i guess it is my jub )

Every faction normally gets 48 hours to play, however Drones' has been playing their turn in 9 hours in average, and PEACE has been taking more than 48 hours. So I reckon we got about a week to prepare for the next turn.

The topped homeland central planning thread contains some of the earlier teraforming discussions.

              Greetings from the Human Hive,

I’m afraid that this communication comes at a time of great peril for all factions on Planet, and though I am certain that you are aware of the situations it needs restating. As you have heard the University will become subject to CyCon rule, with the University under CyCon domination the rest of Planet faces the peril of having to face the warmongering CyCon empowered by the Universities research. As such the Human Hive, the Drones, and PEACE must combine their efforts to stop the menace of the CyCon. I will personality request of all faction leaders to allow for a special War Council to be establishes so that we may best coordinate our efforts.

We have accepted Doctrine: Initiative. On the coming turn we will have a cruiser ready to escort your colony pod to safety of our territorial waters.

The Drones have expressed their consent that you receive SFF now, and the DAP when the CyCon receive it (in order to prevent them form gaining it earlier). You will have to contact the Drones directly for we currently do not have the SFF ourselves.

You need also consider the inevitable fact that the CyCon are gaining against you, action needs to be taken to preserve your sovereignty. We suggest that you may want to cede some of your bases to ourselves and the Drones in order to protect them for the time being.

Please think about what has been stated and respond to us ASAP, the urgency of this must be stressed.

              -Chairman Voltaire

i'm sorry- i dont think i can take the jov with the strategy your'e using.

i never worked with so many crowlers. i prefere independent citys with complet autonomic supplay to give me as many citys with building strenght as i can get. exept when i'm on SP production.
also your leaving too many citys with high drone probability, if they grow (which will affect their production).
at large scale i'd totaly stop building crowlers right now (i think we have more then enough) and begin building rec. commons and military units. we will need LOT OF BORE HOLES AND FAST if we want to prepare for war, so better start forming them and building as many prototypes as we can of the units we'll need.

i've been checking production city by city, if you want to make changes in strategy i'll begin a long run production plan. if not, i fear i'll find it hard to take over all this mineral moving arround in crowlers...

I'll keep an eye on this thread and see what happens. I don't want to volunteer my services due to my sporadic internet connections but if worse comes to worst, I'll take up a position that I can perform.

I agree entirely. Most of the bases that are currently producing crawlers are doing so because we didn't have the missle prototype yet so we don't have any military units to prototype. So it is basically a space keeper to accumulate minerals and are planned to change to military units next turn.

We would not need rec commons because we have the HGP and VW. So what we might need is network nodes for the new bases if we have the time. But I don't know what percentage of bases would be needed to military building.

we will need LOT OF BORE HOLES AND FAST if we want to prepare for war, so better start forming them and building as many prototypes as we can of the units we'll need.
I again agree entirely. I would appreciate any suggestions where we should start with the boreholes. Even if we do gangteraforming it is still likely to take at least 4 or 5 turns to finish a borehole. So we really need to concentrate our efforts.

                    [Edit] Corrected typo for VW.

as i can see the best would be to begin building net. nodes in most of needed bases and begin building choppers and a fleet in others (even unit by unit).
you're right we seem to have some lack of military techs but the others dont seem to be much ahead of us eather.
about the bore holes the moment i have green light for "war strategy production" i'll check it and give a complet list.
