Right, given as though we've effectively burned out most of our key players (at one point or another), I'm going to try for a different approach in what I am calling the "Great Leap Forward".
Basically....
turn chats, pre-turn data posts, screenies, etc. etc. are gone. They take too much work, and barely anyone reads them. For turn information if the turn player could please post a brief summary of what happened, big points of where we are, and where we are going, and any questions for other members of the team (other members please make a concerted effort to answer them)
How are we going to keep things co-ordinated? My idea is simple. Right before the turn player hits turn, take a "final save". Zip this, and the we will create a mailing list where it will be e-mailed out. That way people who WANT to stay in touch can. For now, anyone who wants final saves, e-mail j.shire at shaw.ca
In terms of MSN chats, if something important (HA!) is discussed, don't post the entire chat, post a quick summary, and if applicable, a poll.
As for operational structure. dacole, if you don't mind, given HongHu's absence, I would like to commission you to General and appoint you Chief of Staff. Um, actual things you can do.... I really really need someone to update the sim and keep that going (pretty pretty plz? If you have questions about it, e-mail, or pm me). Also, doing intelligence analysis would be great (e-mail or pm with questions). It would probably take...errm... 2-3 hours a week. Let me know if you are up to it.
Glorious Comrade Chairman Voltaire....
If you could unsticky the threads "Turn Update", "Pre-turn Data", and "Turn Chat Transcripts" along with any other thread which is now pretty useless, it would go a long way to reflect these operational changes.
In there place, I will be starting a new thread called "Command and Control" (Glorious Comrade Chairman Voltaire or Marvellous Great GooglieGod plz sticky). In there I will post the new turn overview and ask questions relevant. It would go a long way if responses could be non-spam (*looks at spamski and spev*), short, and to the point. Also, if discussion could be kept fairly short term and relevant to turn, that would be great. As for the rest of the forum, HAVE FUN! You guys are great at that (and I repeat my call for MORE PRAVDA).
