Official-Pirate Tech Trade

Since initial contact with the Pirates Comrade Kody has offered the following tech we have in exchange for Doctrine: Flexibility: any two of Biogenetics, Doctrine: Loyalty and Applied Physics.

The question to the Hive people is as follows:

Do you approve of the above proposed trade?
And which techs are you willing to trade?

Dont give any other faction the tools to build the CN!

We really ought to have seperate polls on which techs should be allowed and whether the current trading idea is suitable.

As for loyalty, if it gets us flexibility really early, we can afford to rush build the CN before the pirates have had a chance to blink.

If we can get flexibility, I don't mind giving them loyalty if they choose it. I don't doubt for a minute that we would be able to build the CN before the pirates.

Well what we do is we build CN soon.

Flex is what we need most urgently. Trade whatever they want for it, if we don´t give them Loyalty some other faction will. Just that we wouldn´t gain anything that way.

Other factions don't have Loyalty.

not yet. The point is, if we don´t trade it for something, we won´t gain anything. And sooner or later, any other faction may discover it and trade it to the pirates for flex.

The time we build our first ship they will have a vast sea empire, with naval bases closely off our shores...

What do we have to lose? The CN will be ours, have faith...

Didn't they say they would be telling us which techs they can trade us?

Also weren't they supposed to have an answer back to us by now.
