  • Build Orders

    We have one new base (Pi Square) and another on its way next turn (Logic Loop) but I need build orders.

    1) Pi Square will have just built a scout. Should I keep I on Scout, or build another CP there?

    2) What to build in Logic Loop? A Scout first or a CP?

    I favour Scout first in both (for defence) and then scouts for exploring, changing to Formers as soon as we get Cent. Eco.

      Expansion is more than critical at this stage... is it feasible to build CPs in one or both bases?

        Well, if we did, it would mean postponing formers a little while after we get Cent. Eco. I would go explore first, with one Scout each, then go formers, then go CPs. Normally I go former, scout, CP, former. Not sure if we can grow before we build the CP. But we research in 3 turns, so Cent. Eco. is probably only 4 away.

          I vote we go for Colony Pod in Pi Square next, and scout patrol in Logic Loop. Of course, the colony pod is dependent upon adequate population growth first. We shouldn't have too much trouble with defence as native life forms aren't high. If we get Cent. Eco before it's complete, we can switch (we shouldn't have accumulated too many minerals by then to warrent retooling costs).

            Very good idea I was tempted to think of stockpile energy until we get cent. eco., as I do think we will get a CP first.

              I voted CP on both (after the first scout patrol is completed of course), but I hope/think we can research CentEco before those bases have accumulated 10 minerals, so we can switch to formers soon.

                Maniac: the poll was for the first thing to be produced. Therefore voting CP for both means voting not to complete a Scout first in Logic Loop (Pi Square has already completed it). Do you want me to change your vote to Scout as the first thing for Logic Loop?
