    Yeah, but the Hive has prod coming out their ears, after all, what with all the slave labour. Running a serious terraforming effort is simple for them. Their main liability is how cash-straped and reasarch deficient they are from scratch, and killing worms can go some way toward mitigating that.

      Depends. If they just have one big clump nearby, then they can expand around it while going on safari.

        If that glorified toilet paper they call Pravda actually tells the truth for once, then they not only got a patch of fungus but an actual fungal tower in there...

        In which case they'll probably have more cash than us for quite some time.

          Assuming that they can continue to defeat them in battle. Fungal Towers near bases don't tend to spawn worms overmuch, but they do spread the fungus.
