Yes, always. I might skip a base location and build there later if it's Rocky, but otherwise I keep to it almost religiously. I also tend to continue borging to infinity where possible.

Social Engineering we can work out as a collective group I think.

With Tass at the helm over at Affirmative Action Reports, Arch as... well, Archdean, yourself as Chancellor and Footy Manager, me as Exchange Officer... we need to fill more spots. I recall Adam having servered as Science guy in the last game - perhaps he would be interested in doing that again?

How about the rest of you guys? We're 9 here right now, after all.

Yes, Adam did quite well as DoR in the first game... as for Social Sciences, I have absolutely no idea. I also note that there is no position on that list for production.

I wouldn't mind doing Research for a while, but I don't want to prevent anyone else from doing it.

For those who aren't familiar with my term in the last game, what I would basically do is write up descriptions of all the possible technologies listing their prerequisites and benefits in a "story" format, much like the Science Advisor in Civ III. So if you'd like that sort of thing, I can certainly do it. I'll probably end up resigning in a month or so when my summer job picks up, but I could do this for the early game.

If anyone else wants the position, I'll step aside, and let some new blood take over. On the other hand, if you'd like me to serve in this capacity, I'll do my best.
