If the game lasts that long. Hee. ^^

Well, since simming things is allowed apprently I've taken the liberty of modeling our tiny faction to work ut some figures and such. And working up detailed orders to give me practice at this ....micromanaging. (icky.) I'll post em later and you lot can pick em over and see if I'm nuts, k?
But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Haven't finished the orders yet, but the turn's here - and the Drones have offered this :

Note the message in the box about transferring units? There's a Drop Plasma Garrison that just landed nearby

So, accept Pact and the tech/units?

Note to self: From now on, no UT2k4 untill stuff is done!

Sorry I was distracted by squishing people in a Manta ^^ Here's the plans so far:

2161: Former/Rover pair to 59,41 to make road; sport moves 40,34 41,35 42,36; workers in x-bone to 60,42 (freeing the nuts for the cycon base and because we don't want any excess accumulating and the base growing again ) 46 EC's available

        2162: X-Bone grows, we rush reminder of DCP for 31 EC; sport moves 42,38 44,38 45,39; workers in x-bone to 60,42 & 58,42; next in q - stockpile

        2163: DCP launched to 52, 34 on Bones; road done @ 59,41; sport moves 47,39 49,39 51,39 workers to 58, 46 (trying to slow down the cp so we don't waste mins); switch to regular cp;

I've stopped right there because I need to look at the timing on the sport & other units moving to Bones and need to double check the EC #'s

I do agree with foolish that CyCon needs to be informed that the pact has nothing to do with the war but with a previously made unit gifting agreement.

Well here's some interesting things you didn't know.

I think we had a time limited pact with the PEACE, said something like 25 years after which either side could break it. We were actually worried about Peace attacking the Hive earlier on, but didn't want to break an commitment. I didn't see the time limit part of the pact posted here, but maybe the Hive ambassador stuffed up.

The Hive was planning originally on Permapacting with the Cycon due to dodgy communication. However, developments with the Drones put a damper on that and Cycon were suspcious of us and we held back because we didn't want to give too much away knowing we were pacted with the Drones.

Early on when we were fairly certain we wanted relations with the cycon we gave infiltration information to the cycon when they requested it. Although they claimed that they didn't need it anymore because we were too slow. That's what they meant by we were betraying you. However, the real reason why that happened was because a certain member in the Hive had promised them the infiltration information in exchange for cycon voting. (Grrr when we weren't even concerned about voting). However, Honghu said we should honour the promise. Other stuff happened and things slowly deteriotated. Eventually Hive sided with PEACE on the war.

The help you recieved was partly because you were the underdog and partly because hive wanted to tweak the Cycon's noses. Some Hivers had other reasons like council votes. I gave small a nudge because the Hive had forgottenly completely about you due to activity problems. They would have helped you without the nudge if only they remembered.

Hive was interested in PEG, but more as dessert. It wasn't critical in our short-term plans, our race to MMI+war with uni which we had been planning for 20 years was our top priority.

Planetary council votes we didn't mind where they fell. I was hoping for Drones, because Hive was inactive and wouldn't be watching the infiltration data anyway.

Both Peace and Cycon for some reasons thought PEG and council votes were major issues. The real battle being fought at the time was pushing up the tech rate and golden age booming. It was critical getting MMI before the University. That meant most of the concentration for that time period was economic development.
